Privacy policy
Effective date: November 6, 2026 · Mirror It Studio 1.0
Your photos are processed on your computer. The app has no accounts, advertising, or photo uploads. If you contact support through this website, the details you submit are shared with Formspree and our support inbox so we can respond.
1. Overview
Mirror It Studio is a standalone macOS photo editor developed by Greg Anderson. This policy explains the app’s local photo processing and the information involved when you use this support website.
Questions can be sent through the support form.
2. Photos and image processing
Selected photos and reflection effects are processed locally on your computer. The app does not upload your photos to us or a third-party processing service, and it does not use generative AI.
We do not receive your source photos or saved TIFFs through the app. It does not require a Mirror It Studio account and does not access your camera, microphone, or entire Photos library.
3. File access and remembered permissions
The app reads photos you choose and writes results into folders you approve. To create new TIFFs beside a selected photo, it asks you to approve that folder. It stores app-scoped folder permissions locally in its preferences so you can save there again after restarting.
These local permissions are not sent to the developer. If an approval is no longer available, the app asks you to choose the folder again.
4. Saved images and metadata
Reflections are saved as separate 8-bit sRGB TIFFs in the location you choose. Supported source metadata, including capture details and GPS location when present, may remain in the output. This metadata stays in your local file; it is not collected by the app.
Consider image metadata before sharing a result. If you save to a cloud-synced folder or add the result to Adobe Lightroom, those services handle the file under their own settings and privacy policies. Mirror It Studio does not manage that syncing.
5. App analytics and advertising
The app contains no advertising, tracking SDK, developer-operated analytics, or developer-operated crash-reporting service. It does not transmit device identifiers, usage events, or photo contents to the developer.
App Store purchases, optional system diagnostics, and other Apple services are handled by Apple according to your settings and Apple’s privacy policies.
6. Support requests
If you submit the website’s support form, the information you enter is sent to Formspree and our support inbox. This may include your name, email address, Mac or app version, topic, and message. Formspree may also process technical information needed to deliver the form and prevent abuse.
We use support correspondence to respond to requests and investigate reported issues. Do not submit passwords, full payment details, or private photos.
Support messages are separate from the app’s local photo processing. Contact us to ask about or request deletion of support correspondence; information may need to be retained where necessary for support history, security, or legal obligations.
7. This website
These pages use the website’s shared navigation and fonts served by Google Fonts. Loading pages or external font resources involves ordinary connection information, such as your IP address and browser details, being processed by the relevant hosting or font provider. Learn about Google Fonts and privacy.
No advertising or analytics script is added by these Mirror It Studio pages. The support form contacts Formspree only when you send it. External links, including links to Apple, are governed by the destination’s policies.
8. Children’s privacy
The app is for general audiences and does not collect personal information through its photo-editing features. If you believe a child has sent personal information through the support website, contact us so we can address the request.
9. Changes and contact
This page will be updated if the app or website’s privacy practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
