Start with a simple half-frame mirror, add a water effect, or build a radial pattern from your favorite slice of the image.

Classic mirrors

Reflect left into right, right into left, top into bottom, or bottom into top. Choose the half that makes the composition.

Water reflections

Add water distortion to a horizontal reflection for a different interpretation of landscapes, shapes, and colors.

Kaleidoscope patterns

Explore 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12 mirrored segments. Select the source slice to reveal a new repeating pattern.

Make the frame yours

Drag to position and pinch or Option-scroll to zoom. Keep the original aspect ratio or choose a square crop.

Preview and refine

Preview the reflection, return to the original framing, and try another composition before saving the finished image.

A separate TIFF

Save beside the photo you opened, with numbered filenames to protect existing results. Save As lets you choose another destination.

Does this work inside Lightroom?
Mirror It Studio is a standalone Mac app. Export a photo from Lightroom, edit that export here, and add the finished TIFF back to Lightroom manually. You can also use images from other editors.
Where does it save the reflection?
Save Reflection uses the folder containing the photo opened in Mirror It Studio. It creates a new file with a numbered name if needed. Approve the folder on first use; the app remembers that choice. Save As lets you choose another filename or folder.
What format is the saved image?
The app saves a flattened, losslessly compressed 8-bit sRGB TIFF. A 16-bit input is also saved as 8-bit. Cropping reduces output dimensions.
Does it upload my photos or use generative AI?
No. The effects use local image processing. The app does not upload your photos or use generative AI.
Which computers can run it?
Mirror It Studio requires macOS 13 or later and supports Apple silicon and Intel Macs.
