1. Information We Do Not Collect

Unmounted does not collect, transmit, store, or share any of the following:

• Your photographs or any image data
• Captions or metadata you add to photos
• Your name, email address, or any account information
• Usage statistics, crash reports, or analytics
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising identifiers

2. Permissions the App Requests

Camera
Used to photograph album pages. Images captured by the camera are processed entirely on your device. They are not uploaded to any server.

Photo Library (Read)
Used to select existing photos from your library as source images. Unmounted requests images at a working resolution using Apple's PHImageManager API. No images are read beyond those you explicitly select.

Photo Library (Write / Add Only)
Used to save extracted and edited photographs back to your Photos library. Unmounted only writes images — it cannot read your existing library without your selection.

Microphone (optional)
Used only if you choose to dictate a caption using the speech-to-text feature in the caption editor. Audio is processed by Apple's on-device speech recognition and is not recorded or stored.

3. All Processing Is On-Device

Photo detection, perspective correction, editing, and IPTC metadata embedding all happen locally using Apple's Vision, Core Image, and Core Graphics frameworks. No image data or processing output is sent to any external server.

4. Support Communications

If you contact us through the support form on this website, your message is transmitted via Formspree (a third-party form service) to our support email address. We retain support correspondence for the purpose of resolving your issue. We do not use support emails for marketing.

Please do not include personal photographs or sensitive information in support messages.

5. Third-Party Services

Unmounted uses no third-party SDKs, analytics services, or advertising networks. The only third-party service associated with Unmounted is the Formspree contact form on this support website (not inside the app).

6. Children's Privacy

Unmounted is rated 4+ on the App Store. The app does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

7. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
