Privacy Policy
Slang Decoder does not store your search phrases, requires no account, and shares no personal information with advertisers. This policy explains exactly what happens — and what doesn't — when you use the app.
01
Slang Decoder is designed to collect as little as possible. Here is a complete account of what may be handled:
| Data type | Collected? | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Text phrases you enter | Transmitted | Sent to Anthropic's API to generate a translation. Not stored by us. |
| Voice audio | Not stored | Transcribed on-device by Apple's Speech framework. Audio is never transmitted or saved. |
| Crash reports | Aggregate | Standard Apple crash logs only. No personal data included. |
| Support messages | Yes | Name and email you voluntarily submit via the support form. |
| Location, contacts, camera | Never | Not accessed under any circumstances. |
| Advertising identifiers | Never | The app contains no advertising SDKs and uses no IDFA. |
02
We explicitly do not collect, access, or store any of the following:
03
Phrases you submit are used solely to generate a translation and concern rating via our AI provider. They are not stored, indexed, or used for training by us, and are not shared with any third party other than Anthropic.
Support messages are used only to respond to your inquiry. We do not add you to marketing lists or share your contact information.
04
Slang Decoder uses three external services:
We use no advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or social media pixels.
05
Because we do not store your search phrases, there is nothing to retain or delete on your behalf.
Support message data is retained only as long as needed to resolve your inquiry, typically no longer than two years.
06
Slang Decoder is intended for parents and adults. It is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted information through our support form, contact us at Support and we will delete it promptly.
07
Depending on your location you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, and to object to or restrict its processing. Because we collect very little (only support form submissions), most rights have limited practical application. To exercise any right, contact support.html →.
California residents have additional rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what data is collected and the right to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information — there is nothing to opt out of.
08
If we change how Slang Decoder handles data, we will update this page and note the effective date prominently. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
