FAQ
How do I enter a reading?
Tap the blue Blood Pressure button, say a reading such as “120 over 80,” then tap the same button again to stop. You can also tap the Heart Rate button to dictate a pulse number and the Notes button to dictate free-form notes. Tap Log Entry to save everything with the current date and time.
Why does the app need microphone access?
Microphone access is required for voice dictation. MyBPLog listens only while one of the blue field buttons is active.
Why does the app need speech recognition?
Speech recognition converts spoken words into text so the app can fill the active field. Blood Pressure looks for a pattern like “120 over 80,” Heart Rate listens only for a plausible number, and Notes can be anything you dictate.
How are High, Normal, and Low determined?
High is systolic 130 or higher, or diastolic 80 or higher. Normal is systolic 90-129 and diastolic 60-79. Low is systolic below 90, or diastolic below 60.
Why did it ignore speech?
Blood Pressure and Heart Rate ignore unrelated words unless they contain a realistic number pattern. Notes are free-form and can contain whatever you dictate.
Can I export my log?
Yes. Use the share button to export or save a CSV file. You can also print a readable log from the print button. Exports include date, time, systolic, diastolic, reading, heart rate, status, and notes.
Does MyBPLog track me?
No. The app does not use analytics, ads, accounts, or tracking. See the Privacy Policy.
Is MyBPLog medical advice?
No. MyBPLog is for personal tracking and record keeping. It is not a medical device and does not provide diagnosis, treatment, or medical advice.
