Who we are

What data Zone Meter accesses

Permission What it's used for Stored or transmitted?
Camera Reading ambient light levels from the scene to calculate exposure values in real time Never stored or transmitted. Processed in memory only.

Zone Meter does not request access to your Photo Library, Microphone, Location, Contacts, or any other system resource.

What data we collect

None. Zone Meter does not collect, transmit, store, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no user profiles, and no telemetry of any kind.

Readings you save to History are stored in UserDefaults on your device only. They are never transmitted to any server. Deleting the app removes all saved readings.

Camera and metering

Zone Meter uses the iPhone's rear camera exclusively to measure light levels — specifically ISO, shutter speed, aperture, and exposure duration values provided by AVFoundation. No images or video are captured, saved, or transmitted. All processing happens in memory and is discarded when you leave the app.

Third-party SDKs and services

Zone Meter contains no third-party SDKs or frameworks. It uses only Apple's own system frameworks — AVFoundation, SwiftUI, Combine — which are built into iOS. There are no advertising SDKs, analytics frameworks, crash reporters, or social login integrations.

Children's privacy

Zone Meter is rated 4+ on the App Store. Because we collect no data whatsoever, there are no special provisions needed for users under 13 (COPPA) or under 16 (GDPR). No personal information from anyone, regardless of age, is collected.

Your rights

Because Zone Meter collects no personal data, there is no data to access, correct, export, or delete. If you have questions or wish to confirm this, contact us at Support.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we will update the effective date at the top of this page and note the change in the App Store release notes. Continued use of Zone Meter after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
