Privacy Policy

Effective date: May 27, 2026  ·  Version 2.0

The short version

TSA Wait Times does not collect personal information. Optional provider-health diagnostics may tell us that an airport data source failed, but they do not identify you or include your location, flight, or itinerary.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how TSA Wait Times ("the App," "we," "our") handles information when you use the TSA Wait Times iOS application. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy is straightforward because our data practices are straightforward.

The App is operated by G. Anderson. If you have any questions, contact us at Contact Form.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

TSA Wait Times does not collect any of the following:

✓ No account required. No sign-in. No profile. No advertising tracking.

3. How the App Works

When you select an airport, the App may request wait-time information from official airport pages, widgets, or feeds that publish security wait information. If no stable airport-published source is available, the App uses a deterministic historical planning model on your device.

Version 2.0 does not send airport lookups to an AI provider and does not use a client-side LLM API key. Wait values are source-labeled in the App so you can see whether a result is airport-published or historical.

Favorites, recent wait history, reminders, flight-planner settings, and actual-wait logs are stored locally on your device. We do not receive or store that information.

4. Third-Party Services

The App may contact the following types of services:

Official airport web services — Used when airports publish public security wait information. Requests may include the normal technical information required for an HTTPS request, such as IP address and user agent, as handled by the airport's own systems.
Provider-health endpoint — If enabled, the App may send anonymous diagnostic events when an airport-published source fails and the App falls back to a historical estimate.

We do not use advertising SDKs, social media tracking integrations, or data brokers.

5. Local Data Storage

The App stores favorites, wait lookup history, reminder settings, flight-planner values, and actual-wait logs locally on your device. This local data helps the App work for you and is not sent to us.

You can remove local app data by deleting the App from your device.

6. Anonymous Provider-Health Diagnostics

To keep airport-published sources working, the App may send a small diagnostic event when an integrated airport data source fails and the App falls back to a historical estimate.

This event may include airport code, provider name, failure type, App version, build number, fallback type, and timestamp. It does not include your name, email, precise location, flight details, itinerary, device identifier, or advertising identifier.

Provider-health diagnostics are used only for App functionality and source maintenance. They are not linked to your identity and are not used for tracking.

7. Network Requests

When you use the App, your device makes HTTPS requests over your internet connection. Your internet service provider, mobile carrier, Apple, official airport websites, or other network operators may process technical network information according to their own privacy policies, which are outside our control.

8. Children's Privacy

TSA Wait Times is rated 4+ on the App Store and is suitable for all ages. The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA)

If you are a California resident, you have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). We do not sell personal information to third parties. The provider-health diagnostics described above are anonymous operational diagnostics, not advertising or tracking data.

10. International Users (GDPR)

TSA Wait Times is designed for use within the United States. We do not collect personal data for advertising or tracking. Anonymous provider-health diagnostics, if sent, are used only to maintain App functionality.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we make changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. Material changes will also be noted in the App Store release notes. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
