Privacy Policy

Effective date: June 6, 2026  ·  Version 1.0

The short version

Network Interface Monitor does not collect personal information, does not track you, and does not capture packet contents. It reads local macOS interface counters to show network speeds.

1. Overview

This Privacy Policy describes how Network Interface Monitor ("the App," "we," "our") handles information when you use the macOS application.

The App is operated by G. Anderson. If you have questions, contact us through the support page.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

Network Interface Monitor does not collect any of the following:

No account required. No advertising tracking. No packet capture.

3. How the App Works

The App reads local macOS network interface byte counters and SystemConfiguration interface metadata. This allows it to calculate upload/download speeds and label adapters such as Wi-Fi, Ethernet, VPN tunnels, bridges, and Apple local-device interfaces.

The App does not inspect packet payloads, DNS requests, websites visited, files transferred, or message contents.

4. Local Data And Settings

The App may store local preferences, such as whether Start at Login has been enabled by macOS. These settings remain on your Mac and are not sent to us.

5. Third-Party Services

The App does not use advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, social media tracking integrations, or data brokers.

If you submit the support form, the information you provide is sent through the form provider used on the support page so we can respond to your message.

6. App Sandbox

Network Interface Monitor is built for the Mac App Store with App Sandbox enabled. It uses local system APIs needed to display network interface counters and register Start at Login when you choose that option.

7. Changes To This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update this page and revise the effective date.
