FAQ

Where are my card projects saved?
Card projects are saved as local .mycard files wherever you choose. Use Open to reopen a saved card later.
Does Save overwrite my existing card?
Yes. After you open or save a project, Save writes back to that same file. Use Save As when you want a separate copy.
How do I find the in-app User Guide?
Use the User Guide button in the app interface, or open it from the app menus. It includes modifier keys, image crop controls, keyboard nudging, printing, exporting, and other editing basics.
How do I export a card?
Use File > Export, then choose TIFF, JPEG, or PDF. Exports are created at 300 DPI. TIFF and JPEG can export separate outside and inside sheets; PDF creates a printable document.
Why does a photo crop when I use Fill?
Fill preserves the photo proportions and crops the extra area so the image covers the selected image box without distortion. Select the image and drag inside the photo to reposition the crop. Use Fit if you want the entire photo visible, or Stretch if you want the image to fill the box even if it changes proportions.
Can I add a border around a photo?
Yes. Select an image and use Image Border to choose a border color and point size. Set the size to 0 pt for no border; small values such as 0.1 pt are supported.
How do clear text boxes work?
Text boxes are clear by default so backgrounds, photos, and shapes show through. Turn off Clear Box Fill when you want a colored text box background, then choose a Box Fill color.
How do I move selected parts precisely?
Drag parts on the card for normal movement. Use arrow keys to nudge the selected part, and Shift-arrow to move it faster. Use Option-drag near a corner handle to rotate, and Shift-drag a corner handle to keep proportions while resizing.
How do print cut guides work?
Turn on Print Edge/Cut Guides in the app to print light cut and fold marks. They are intended to help trim or fold cards printed on larger paper.
Can I make a custom 6 x 4 card?
Yes. Choose Custom and enter the finished card face size. Folded cards print on the larger sheet needed for the fold.
Which card and paper sizes are included?
The app includes common choices such as Letter, A4, A6, A7, 5 x 7, and custom sizes. Custom sizes let you enter the finished card face size.
Does My Card Creator track me?
No. The app does not use analytics, ads, accounts, or tracking. See the Privacy Policy.
Does the app upload my images or cards?
No. Images and card projects stay local unless you choose to share or upload them outside the app.
