FAQ
What should I enter for finished length?
Enter the desired finished length for one piece. WarpWise multiplies it by the number of pieces before adding shrinkage, take-up, and allowances.
What is take-up?
Take-up is the warp length used as the weft travels over and under the warp. WarpWise increases the woven length by the take-up percentage.
What is draw-in?
Draw-in is the narrowing that happens while weaving. WarpWise uses draw-in and width shrinkage to estimate width in reed.
Where do unassigned ends come from?
Unassigned ends are total warp ends that are not yet assigned to a color row. Increase color end counts or add more colors until the assigned ends match your plan.
Can I use more than three colors?
Yes. Use Add color to add as many color rows as you need for the warp.
Why does the app not ask for permissions?
WarpWise is a local calculator. It does not need camera, photo library, location, contacts, or network permissions.
Does WarpWise track me?
No. The app has no analytics, ads, accounts, or tracking. See the Privacy Policy.
